Steven Deisher Obituary

Steven M. Deisher

Steven Murray Deisher, born February 4, 1941 in Kiwanee, IL, died April 11, 2011 at home in Arlington, WA after a valiant two year and two month battle with brain cancer.
Steve attended school in Everett, graduating from EHS in 1959. He went on to Everett Junior College and then UW where he obtained his Bachelors degree and became a Certified Public Accountant after which he developed and maintained his loyal clients throughout his 45 year career.
He had many passions in his life and most of those involved his children and grandchildren.
Sports were always an important part of Steve's life. He attended his children's games and activities when they were in school and this level of enjoyment carried on to his grandchildren. He made himself available to transport kids to practice and games and always made a great cheerleader! He enjoyed golfing, especially with his son, brothers and nephews, and he coached his daughter's soccer team for years. He watched all the sports he could, the Husky's being #1. He was a true Seattle area sports fan and followed all the teams faithfully.
Steve enjoyed travel and was always up for a road trip. His favorite vacation spot was Disneyland and he enjoyed the trips he took with his children. He especially cherished the last vacation with all his children and grandchildren in 2009.
Steve also enjoyed his stops at the casinos to play the slot machines and had fond memories of a jaunt to Las Vegas with his children.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray; mother, Dorothy; brother, Jack; and his sister-in-law, Delores.
Steve is survived by his children, Sonja (Andy) Machovina, Kim (Rob) Allen, Tim (Suzanne) and Mark (Jenny); 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, all of whom loved him and will miss the warmth and comfort his presence provided. He is also survived by his brothers, Ron (Ann) and Larry (Sue); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be April 14, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA 98203 followed by a reception at Legion Memorial Park, 145 Alverson Boulevard, Everett, WA 98201.

To Steve's children. I am so sorry to hear your Dad has passed. If you remember Randy Fraser, I am his wife Jeri. Having lost Randy 3 years ago, I know what you are going through. I new Steve was battling cancer but had hoped he would have success fighting it like when he had NHL years ago. Your Dad is now on a new journey with his buddy 'SPUD' by his side. You all and the rest of the family are in my thoughts. Sincerely, Jeri
