Leslie R. Smith

Leslie R. Smith, 72 years old, a resident of Monroe, passed away Feb. 15, 2011 in Monroe. Leslie was born June 25, 1938 in Snohomish County, to Lyle & Rachel Smith.
Leslie was a happy man, loved everyone he met and everyone loved him. He was like a sunshine walking around, always positive. He loved to play cards, puzzles, making flower baskets and yard furniture. Leslie worked at Volunteers of America for over 30 years and was a longtime member of the Special Olympics.
He is survived by Aunt Cecila Smith; numerous cousins that love him; extended family; sisters, Kate and James Cooper, Becky and Albert Britton; many nephews and nieces; two great nieces; and one great nephew.
Leslie was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service to be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Purdy & Kerr w/Dawson Funeral Home.

I am going to miss your smile, the funny names we call the cards, and just our time together.
I am so glad that I got to see you a few weeks back. You are now on a greater path than the one you had on Earth. I know I will see you again. God Bless you Les.
