Dorothy Parker Obituary

Dorothy Laverne Parker "Dot"

In loving memory of Dorothy Parker, 72, of Everett, WA, who went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, March 19, 2011 after a brief illness.
Dorothy was born April 5, 1938 in Toppenish, WA.
Surviving her are her sons, Barry, Randy and Kevin; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; and many, many friends.
Mom was a graduate of Everett High Class of '57 and married that same year her husband of 50 years, the late Leland F. Parker. She was a 20 year employee of the Rane Corp. She loved collecting dolls and Elvis Presley Memorabilia. In fact, she loved collecting... period. She was a permanent fixture at her spot on the couch watching her favorite programs "the cooking channel" and "Dr. Phil."
Mom was greatly loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by all... especially her children.
Mom we love you and miss you very much, thank you for being such a good mother.
"A mother is a gardner, planting the seeds of faith, truth, and love that develop into the fairest flowers of her character: virtue and happiness in the lives of her children." J.H. Quinn

We want to extend our condolences to all the family of Dorothy. I remember all the times she and Aunt Ethyl and Aunt Loretta came to Vancouver to stay with Mom and Dad (Chuck and Dee). They were some great times back then. It has been a while since we have seen her but will always remember all those times. She will be missed by all. Our thoughts will be with all of you.

It is sad to know that Dorothy has passed on. I had many good times with Dorothy over the years and wish we had been able to see more of her and Leland. We always had a great time when we were together. She was a happy go lucky kind of gal and I loved her laugh. I will miss her even though we didn't see each other as much as we would like to have. Our thoughts are with all of you. Janice and Dan Gefre
