Jean Gray Merkel
She is survived by her loving husband, Marvin (Marv) Merkel; daughters, Marla Nulph and Kari Bloom; Kari's husband, Scott; and grandchildren, Gary Nulph (Patricia), Sean Nulph, Jacob Bloom, Brita Bloom, Melissa Gray Riphenburg (Jason), Nichole Gray Awtrey (Luke), and Donald Gray; plus several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brother, Jack Cosby; son-in-law, Kurt Nulph; and her son, Robert Gray.
Jean moved from Great Falls, MT to Mill Creek in 1998 after the death of her husband, Don Gray, and explored many activities in the area, eager to make new friends. She soon joined a bowling league at Majestic Lanes where she met Marv. They married in April of 2001. In addition to bowling with Marv, she enjoyed many friends until recently when her health declined. Jean loved life and was very involved in her children and grandchildren's lives. Her outgoing spirit and generosity will be missed by those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County; The Everett Food Bank or charity of personal choice.
Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 29 at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood, WA.

Donna and I will greatly miss Jean, our times together visting talking about her past and playing board games was so enjoyable and we will miss those times the most. May God bless you and keep you in his care. Love You Wes and Donna Merkel
