Raymond Hansen Obituary

Raymond W. Hansen

Raymond W. Hansen, 84, died April 16, 2011 in Renton, WA.
He was born February 10, 1927 to William and Myrtle (Olson) Hansen in Valley City, ND.
Raymond served as a U.S. Marine after WWII while stationed in China. He was a retired iron worker, which brought him to several locations, including Hawaii and eventually Washington. Raymond, his wife Rozella and their six kids settled down in Lake Stevens in 1968. The couple eventually retired in Marysville. He enjoyed fishing in the Puget Sound and was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Everett for over 40 years. Raymond loved playing card games with his family during holiday and birthday celebrations. He became a devoted fan to the Seattle Mariners thanks to his wife.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rozella, of 59 years in 2008 and his son, John, in 2004.
He is survived by his children, Debby (Don) Kerstetter, David (Sue), Faye, Monica (Larry) Gourley, and Lila; and sister, Arlene Reid of Valley City, ND. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
