Judy Stickler

Judy Stickler died on May 1, 2011 in Calistoga, CA. Judith Irene (Taylor) Stickler was born in Antioch, California on October 19, 1963 the youngest child of Gerald V. The Taylor family lived in Antioch then, in 1964, they moved to Sunnyvale, California. They moved to Everett, Washington in the summer of 1967. Judy was very blessed to grow up in the same house until she went off to college, surrounded by a loving family and wonderful neighbors and friends. Judy attended Jefferson Elementary School, Eisenhower Middle School, Cascade High School (class of 1981), all in Everett, Washington, then college at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington where she was a proud member of the Cougar marching band and became a dedicated and loyal "Cougar" for the rest of her life. Judy graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology, cum laude.
After college, she volunteered and worked at the Woodland Park Zoo. In 1988, she was hired at the brand new Indianapolis Zoo in Indianapolis, Indiana as a zoo keeper and was there for one year. Then Judy worked at Boeing from 1989 until 2000 as a manufacturing engineering planner. Judy met Patrick Stickler in 1990 when they both worked at Boeing. They were married on June 18, 1994 in West Seattle and lived there for nine years until their moved back to Everett. Judy went back to work at Boeing in 2006. She loved to travel with Patrick, especially to historic sites and National Parks and she loved WSU Cougar football, animals (especially dogs), music, reading, camping, holidays and family gatherings. Judy always felt blessed by the Lord and had a very wonderful life. Now she is with Jesus, praising God for all eternity.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Dorothy Taylor; and sister, Caroline.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Patrick Bickford Stickler; brother and sister-in-law, William and Sue Taylor; brother, Douglas Taylor; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Mike Chard; three nephews and one niece-in-law, John and Vanessa Taylor, David Taylor and Andrew Chard.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Northshore Christian Church 5700 23rd Dr. W, Everett.

Patrick, we were so sorry to hear of Judy's death. Judy was born the same year as our son, Mike who, as you probably know died just before Christmas in 2007. It sounds like she was a lovely and talented lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Judy's family.

We were blessed to grow up as neighbors on Cascadia in Eastmont! Judy was one of the kindest people I knew. She was soft-spoken, had a love for the Lord, and family meant everything to her. She will truly be missed but will forever be remembered.
