David Lloyd Jones, Sr.

David Lloyd Jones, Sr., age 62, a resident of Marysville, WA died unexpectedly on Tuesday March 1, 2011 at his home in Marysville, WA. Mr. Jones was born in Aberdeen, WA on March 16, 1948 to Jim and Donna Jones. He was raised in the Wishkah Valley and graduated from Wishkah Valley High School in 1966.
He worked for TDS (Title Delivery Service) for 19 years. Prior to that, he retired as a Sergeant 1st Class from the US Army in 1988 after 20 years of service. His hobbies included upgrading, tinkering and spending most of his free time on his computers. He also enjoyed fishing and watching sports and NASCAR on Sundays. Most of his summers were filled with road trips with his wife. He felt the best when reaching out to extended family and spending time with his nine year old grandson, Blake.
On March 26, 1983 he and Cheryl Ann Barnholt were married at the VFW in Aberdeen, WA. She survives at the family home in Marysville, WA. Additional survivors include his children, Maurica Ann Price, Tamara Jean Beck (Matt), David Lloyd Jones II and (Nycole), Anthony Maurice Klein, Jennifer Louise Hammer (Eric), and Katharine LaVerne Gutenkauf (David). He's also survived by two brothers, Paul Jones and Allen Jones; as well as sister, Linda Pigott; thirteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He also had many nieces and nephews as well who were dear to him.
Three brothers, Jay M. Jones, Patrick G. Jones and Lonnie D. Jones passed previously.

I saw David's encouragement and love to his neice many a times on Facebook after her recent loss, and heard great stories of his trips, wife, and children. My thoughts and prayers for all of his family.
