Joseph Tennant Obituary

Joseph Max Tennant, Jr.

Joseph Max Tennant, Jr., died Thursday, February 24, in his own home, from complications of Alzheimer's. He was 53 years old, born in Salt Lake City, UT to Ruth and Max Tennant. He lived with his family for 46 years, then with sisters, before moving to Quilceda Meadows in Marysville, an amazing community for people with developmental disabilities.
Joe was active in his church, an Eagle Scout, swam and ran in Special Olympics, sang and played the harmonica in Voices of the Village band, and worked at different jobs. He loved life, music, and catsup.
He is loved and survived by his 95-year-old mother, one brother, 9 sisters, 53 nieces and nephews, 81 great-nieces and nephews, and many cousins, aunts and uncles. His father died 17 years ago.
Joe is free at last from his disabilities, but, his spirit and personality can now continue to grow and develop unfettered.
Services are Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Church, 9215 51st NE, Marysville, WA, and in SLC, UT. Viewing is Saturday, March 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral home, 804 State Ave, Marysville. He will be interred in SLC, UT.
