To Hoggson Family, We all need a time to grieve, a quiet time for reflection to sift through precious memories and come to grips with what has happened. We all need a time to let the tears flow, not for the ones we lost, who are at peace in heaven, but for ourselves as we realize that things will be different now. We all need a time to just "be", when we can open ourselves to God and let the reassurance of his everlasting love start to heal our broken hearts. God gave us the gift of time, and one of its greatest uses is the healing of a broken heart, even during your darkest nights, God has promised to hold your hand. He will be there to comfort you, and he will give you strength to face this time of sorrow. Though your smile is gone forever and your hand I cannot touch, I still have many memories of the one I care for so much. Your memory is my keepsake, with which I'll never part, God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart......

We will miss Lane. We got to know him after becoming member in the Puget Sound M.I. Hummel Club. We always enjoyed the time spent with him and his wife. He was a good friend to all and loved his family and friends. His cars were his passion and he was proud to show them to people. May the family find the peace for the loss of a wonderful person they lost. We will miss you Lane. May you rest in the arms of the angels now and look down on your family. God Bless you all.

Lane and I have known each other since we were kids growing up in north Seattle. One of my favorite memories of him is when we built a motorized go-cart powered by a gas engine from a lawn mower. Lane's life long enthusiasm for powered vehicles is reflected in this photo from about 1953
