Michael Dunne Obituary

Michael Morgan Dunne

Michael Morgan Dunne passed peacefully in his sleep with his family; daughters, Fiona and Roisin; and son-in-law, Richard in Ventura, CA on June 3, 2013. Michael came to this country in 1964 with wife, Valerie (2006); daughter, Fiona; and son, Darragh (1985) from Dublin, Ireland. He quickly became a pillar of his community both in Real Estate and Theatre. He performed in countless productions ranging from The Driftwood Players, The Bathhouse Theatre, to the Seattle Rep and ACT. His final performance was that of Ebenezer Scrooge in ACT's A Christmas Carol in 2001.
Michael will be sadly missed, along with his brother, Seamus (2002) both here and in Ireland, where he is survived by his siblings, Betty, Donal, Margaret, Moira and Fionnuala; and his in-laws, Tony, Pam, Rohiyah and Paul and David.
Services will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. 23800 104th Ave West Edmonds, WA 98020.

On behalf of the Aliverti family, our sincerest condolences go out to Michael's family. He was a favorite of all of ours. My first memory of him (and Valerie) was when he played Harold Hill and I was a town's child in the Stevens Hospital Auxiliary's production of Music Man in 1974. I've loved him ever since. Such a kind and gentle man that always had a smile for you. I'm saddened to hear of his passing, but know he and Valerie are dancing a lively jig up in Heaven!

God bless you --

My thoughts are with you all at this time. Mike sold me our first home in Edmonds and was a friend from his first arrival from Ireland. The world is poorer.
