Bruce Dady Obituary

Bruce Wayne Dady

Bruce Dady went to live in his mansion in the sky, the afternoon of January 17, 2011.
Bruce was born on March 2, 1952 to Bill and Mildred Dady, in Everett, Washington. He had a very special relationship with his parents throughout his life. As a child, he enjoyed Cub Scouts, camping, fishing, riding his motorcycle, building model airplanes and playing baseball and basketball. He graduated from Everett High School in 1970 where he lettered in baseball. After some time at WSU, he went on to receive his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from UW. He thrived throughout his career at the IRS, being given various special assignments; one of which took him to Washington D.C. Bruce also enjoyed teaching accounting at ECC for many years.
Bruce was a loving and devoted father, who enjoyed sharing his childhood hobbies with his family, by coaching his daughters' softball and basketball teams, exploring the country, going for drives, camping and fishing. He could always be counted on to make people smile with his quirky sense of humor and lighthearted nature. Bruce was always the best dressed in the room and enjoyed "looking sharp".
Bruce is survived by his beloved wife, Linda. His legacy continues in the hearts of his his dearest father, Bill Dady; sister, Barb; daughters, Heather (Josh) and Lindsay (Craig); nieces, Sarah (Jeff) and Elise; Linda's children, Marc and Monica, and grandson, Tommy; and many, many friends.
His beloved mother, "Mickey", preceded Bruce in passing.
We all love you so very much!!!

Hearing of Bruce's passing gave me great pause, remembering youthful days of past with a flood of memories ~ days of fun, concerts, dances, sports, picnics, road trips, sharing ideas and dreams of accomplishments to be reached in the future. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends who have surrounded his life and grieve this deep loss.

When we met 39 years ago at WSU, we could never have imagined what life had planned for us! Together we raised two incredible daughters. Heather and Lindsay are truly our biggest accomplishment, source of pride and happiness. I know you'll continue to love and protect our girls, not only through this difficult time, but every moment of their lives. Through our girls, your memory will remain in the hearts of family and friends. Rest in peace, Bruce.

I've been thinking all day about Bruce, probably the first time in 35 years. I had the great pleasure of playing high school baseball with Bruce. I've played a lot of "catch" with Bruce. I have nothing but fond thoughts and the highest regard. Great dedication, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. My deepest sympathy to Linda and Bruce's family, and to all of us.

You were a terrific brother in law and I have many wonderful memories of going to ballgames with you and playing some golf. I especially remember our game in Baltimore against the M's. We had a great day and time together. I will see you again someday. God be with you always. Oly

Bruce and I were classmates in Everett High School's class of 1970. I missed seeing him this past September at our 40th reunion. His wry sense of humor and personal style were on display even in high school. We last spoke about 15 years ago after a chance meeting. My sincere condolences go out to his entire family.

I was Bruce's student at EvCC in Sept 1996 and went on to work at the IRS after graduating from CWU-Lynnwood in 2001 with his support and encouragement. He always spoke happily of his daughters and Linda. Even after I moved back to TX, before he retired, I still called him to visit and he was always willing to share a quick laugh and smile.
He truly was the nicest man I've ever met and I know he is truly missed. God bless his family with strenght and peace during this time.
