Delbert Fischer Obituary
Delbert G. Fischer
Del leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Nancy; sons, Stuart (Annie), Joey (Rosa) and Austin (Kari); granddaughter, Angela (Jason); and great-grandsons, Layten and Brayden; sister, Norma (Gary) and brother-in-law Anton; and many close friends and extended family.
Del was continuously employed from the time he was six years old when he worked for his father at the family grocery store opening boxes for 25 cents an hour. At age 14, he built a cabin on Apple Creek outside Bismarck that was still being lived in 25 years later. He worked for 33 years for The Boeing Company. After retirement, he and Nancy traveled the United States, Canada and Mexico in their RV. He was an active member of the Everett Senior Center for the last 9 years of his life.
A special thanks to Dr. Todd Gunderson of the Everett Clinic and Dr. Ali Samii of the UW Medical Center and the VA Puget Sound Medical Center who took such excellent care of our husband, father, grandparent and friend. You will be forever in our prayers.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 4306 132 St SE, Mill Creek, WA 98012.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Northwest Parkinson's Foundation, 400 Mercer St #604, Seattle, WA 98109, www.nwpf.org, or a charity of your choice.

Dear Nancy and Family,
We are so sorry that we will no longer have the opportunity to enjoy Del's company. For Pat, Del was a father figure, mentor, friend and buddy. We loved those times he and Trixie went walking and they never got past our lot. That little white car somehow always knew where to find him. Our love and prayers are with you always. God Bless. Nancy and family. We send our condolences along with everyone else. If I close my eyes, I can still see Del walking past our lot with Trixie. He (and Trixie) built a huge circle of friends during those walks and Dick and I were happy and lucky to have been counted among them. He was a valued member of our "Save the World" campfire conversations and he will be missed.

Nancy, Stuart, Joe, and AJ. I am truly sorry for your loss. Del "POP's" Is missed. He is one of the men in my life that kept me leaning more towards the right way to do things. In retrospect There were some really good times at the Fischer home. And your all my extended family!! I'm glad GOD blessed me to know your Husband, Father.
