Elizabeth Cyr Obituary
Elizabeth J. "Betty" Cyr
She was born in Tracy, MN, April 18, 1925. Betty was seventh of 11 children and life revolved around the Methodist Church, where she learned to thoroughly enjoy music, singing and Biblical values. She married Albert M. Cyr in Balaton, MN, June 18, 1943, and then moved to Alderwood Manor, WA. There they raised their six children where Betty was a full-time home maker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, writing letters, camping and family get-togethers.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Albert of 56 years; and their daughter, Nancy Carlson.
She is survived by her children, Mary (Courtney) Johnson, Carol Hibbs, Robert (Carol) Cyr, Jeanie (Brian) Wikene, and John (Cecille) Cyr; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and dozens of nieces and nephews.
Betty's family wishes to thank Star Garma, owner of JAMESTAR Adult Family Home, for the wonderful care she gave Betty over the past six years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Betty's name to be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th flr., New York, NY 10001.
