I miss my grandpa, from when I was little I can remember the smell of his house because we would sit over there for hours and listen to Gloria Estefan. My love of music stems from him. We always watched concerts together that he had saved on his tv. When I think of my grandpa I think of him sitting in front of his house in Everett with the hammock and of course a cigarette in his hand. I will never forget the smell of his garage, I used to go in there for the sole reason to just smell it. I loved it and I don't know why. I wish I could have said I love you for the last time but I just have to keep telling myself that he knew I loved him because I did a lot and still do.. I always will!

Such a gentle, caring, loving soul. Transparently honest.

Times of gardening, golfing, music, hammocks, and kittens will remain lasting memories. Endless games of Scrabble.

What a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend. Remember Harold for the hearts he touched, and the differences he made in others. Harold always wanted others to find happiness, even if he sacrificed his own. Harold was so selfless in that way.

My thoughts go out to all members of Harold's family. He was a special and unique individual. May he rest in peace forever.

Our sincerest condolences go to the Rowe family. We first met Haraldo 16 years ago at the Casablanca Hotel in Puerto Escondido. As the years went by we continued our friendship in Mexico as well as in Everett and our home in Vancouver. So glad to have spent time with him on my last trip to PE. We had so many good times hanging out at the local beaches, the Las Palmas Hotel, Danny's Terrace at the Rincon del Pacifico, Rock-a-Ways, La Galleria, Mario's Pizza, Herman's Best or just hanging on his balcony listening to jazz. He loved music and slow dancing. He was a well respected, thoughtful, gentle and caring man. Haraldo has a lot of friends in his second home. He loved it there. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He really struck a cord with me. He will always be remembered. His Escondido friends will swap many good stories about him. Again our heartfelt thoughts go out to Harold and his entire family.

In Light and Love,
Bill
