Jeane Harless Obituary

Jeane E. Ravine Harless

Jeane E. Ravine Harless, age 73, of Marysville, passed away suddenly at her home on April 21, 2011.
Jeane was born on November 21, 1937 to F. Boyd and Carrie (Blouin) Ravine in Everett. She was the youngest of seven children and grew up in the Swan's Trail community, east of Everett. When she was in the third grade, in 1947, the family moved to Lowell, in Everett, where she met her childhood sweetheart and love of her life, Gary Harless. She graduated from Everett High School in 1956, and married Gary on November 24, 1956, making their home in Lowell.
She worked in photo finishing for many years. She liked taking pictures, especially of her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Jeane and Gary spent at least a week in eastern Washington fishing every year. For many years, she worked at the Purple Cow at the Evergreen State Fair. She was looking forward to working there again this year. Jeane was a giving person and gave of herself freely. She was a caretaker and nurturer, and life for her was all about her family. Everyone knew exactly how much they were loved.
Jeane is survived by her daughters and best friends, Carrie (Jake) Neff and Kris (Mike) Campbell; sisters, Shirley Tanner and Pat (Doug) Coleman; grandchildren, whom she loved immensely and were extremely proud of, Jacob Neff, Melissa (Andrew) Albert, Katie (R. J.) Spliethof, Emily Neff, Christoph Neff and Michaela Campbell; great- granddaughter, Emma Neff.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary; infant son, Gary, Jr.; sister, Rhoda Smith; brothers, Frank, Jack and LeRoy Ravine.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 1200 East 5th Street, Arlington, WA, at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011, Father Jim Dalton, Celebrant.
Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Community Services.

Carrie, Kris:
Like someone else said, your mom was the most selfless, nurturing, loving, and giving person. She was so helpful to me and she raised two fabulous daughters!

Carrie,Jacob,Chris and all, All our hearts are broken. We have lost our Aunt Jeane far too soon. Aunt Jeane was the most selfless, giving soul we have ever known. She was never too busy to help out anyone who needed a helping hand. Aunt Jeane's presence at family gatherings, just visiting with her and Aunt Shirley at home, or serving ice cream at the fair would bring a smile and a laugh to all. We will all miss her dearly. Jeanne, Gary, and the rest of the family.
I was really hoping to be able to see her again - really a special person, and so full of love for all of you. I'll be thinking about all of you and hope this time is not too difficult.

Dear Jake, Carrie and family. I was stunned to learn of Jeane's passing. I can't tell you how many times we would just sit at work, laugh, and discuss family. I have nothing but the fondest memories of Jeane. I don't think I will ever forget the look on her face when she discovered that I played in the band with Bud! My deepest and most sincere condolences go out to your entire family.
