Kjell Forthun Obituary


Kjell H. "Chuck" Forthun

Kjell H. "Chuck" Forthun was born August 26, 1938 in Haugesunde, Norway. Kjell immigrated to New York with his family in 1951, later moving to Washington in 1963. He retired from the Operating Engineers Local 302 after 45 years of service.
Kjell was preceded in passing by his parents, Johann and Karin; brother, Jon; and sister, ElseMarie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Paula; his brother, Arne (Elsa); his children; Karen, Brenda, Steven, Lisa, Jim, Timm, Kenny, Wayne and Kjell, and their families; 22 grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren.
He loved fishing, especially at Westport, and hunting in the fall. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday February 11 at Park Ridge (Chapel) Community Church in Bothell, 3805 Maltby Road.

I always enjoyed talking with Chuck about fishing and other topics. He was a very wise and hard working man. Chuck will be missed.
