Girls - please know that I have thought of you and your families every day since I got Lori's call. I am so terribly sorry for the loss of your cutie-pie Mom and her darling and loving husband. They were like a couple of kids who were on the great journey of life. It was a joy to be around them. She loved you guys so much and we talked at length about our children and their children. She even shared a birthday with one of my grandsons. There aren't words to ease your pain or to express my sorrow but know that I will remember her and Red in my heart and in my thoughts. With love to you all...

I have great memories of "Dee Dee" as a child growing up in Granite Falls during the time the Sudds family lived there. She was always smiling, endearing, and friendly to everyone. My heart just aches for her family.

DeeDee was the sister of my grandmother, Bubbles. I would see her at almost every Christmas and Thanksgiving get together. I remember playing with her grandchildren in her yard at BBQ's in the summer as a child. And when her and Red hosted Thanksgiving Dinner one year, I remember how Red made sure no one's glass was ever empty. They were both great people who made family get togethers memorable and I often admired how clearly Red and DeeDee loved each other very much. This is a huge devastation through out the entire family. Lori and Susan, my heart goes out to all of you and I admire your strength for getting through this. I can't imagine there ever being a Christmas with out her.

Lori,
My prayers are with you and your family. It has been a long time since we have talked. I didn't realize what a small world it is until I discovered that I grew up just a few blocks from your Mom's family in Granite. Please know that we are there for you during this time.

I had the honor of being employed by DeeDee this summer to clean her house, and I have to say she was a light in my life. DeeDee's presence carried so much joy, it was almost intoxicating. The immense love she poured mesmerized me. While she was abruptly taken from us, her legacy will not leave in such a manner. She managed to touch so many lives!
To the family: DeeDee spoke very highly of you all. And while it is tragic that she was snatched from us, I don't think she could be prouder to have you here on earth, carrying on her name. My prayers go out to you in these dark times! I am so sorry for your tragic loss!

I cannot believe this could happen to such a dear person. I worked with Leslie at Skagit Valley Hospital and had talked to her infrequently after that, but always as though we had just parted. Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss.

I remember DeeDee at our school in Granite Falls. She attended our 50th Reunion last year. It was wonderful to catch up with her and meet Red. For her family, may the good Lord surround you with Peace and Love, and give you the Grace to cope with this terrible tragedy.

I can only imagine how devastating this has been for you, Lori and Susan. DeeDee was always my big sister, and I still treasure the baby gifts she and Bubbles gave me when I was born. Even though I didn't see her as often as I'd like, I miss her very much: I always knew she was there, with that gentle laugh and twinkling eyes.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love, Aunt Helen (Passey)

Dearest Friend ~
A true, loyal, and loving friend...your last words to me were, "Love you, Girlfriend!". Such a treasure in my life, you were, and I will always remember the good times & tough times, the laughter & the tears we shared, and the joy of new babies. So very proud you were of all your family and never more so than with the birth of Kaylee Mae. Very sad am I that we won't be able to do the things we were going to do now that you moved so close to me. Your zest for life was an inspiration. I love you and will miss you my friend. Thank you for the memories & all you taught me, I feel blessed to have had you in my life.
My prayers will continue to be with your family. I'm here if you need me, Lori & Susan. Blessings ~

I was so sorry to hear about your Mom. My husband and I lived behind then in Jordan Trails. We've only been here 3 years, so we didn't get to know her or "Red" well. We did have some nice chats over the white fence. I remember your Mom had watched as we transformed our back yard, and came over last year during the 1st garage sale of the community, and had just loved what we had did. We loved sharing it with her. She was so very friendly. I wish I could have know her better...and Red. We are so sorry for your loss. I will say a prayer for you, and hope that Red is found. Steve and Sharon Singer
P.S. I still have the strawberry plants she gave me last year.

Les I will miss you so much. You were such a part of our lives at work and then in retirement. You were strong, loving and such a faithful friend. Your joy in the achievements of your family were so eagerly shared and you were so proud of them all.
How we rejoiced at the birth of the new baby, Kaylee. We looked forward to the pictures and stories. You were such a good mother, grandmother, and for such a short time a great grandmother.
Our hearts and prayers go out to your family and to your other friends.
