Lloyd Christensen Obituary
Lloyd Chris Christensen Sr.
Born in Ketchikan, Alaska, he moved with his family to Seattle where he attended Queen Anne High School. After graduating in 1943, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and participated in the invasion of Europe on D-Day. Following WWII, he returned to the Seattle area where he worked for many years in the Seattle Fire Department and later, in the construction industry. Chris loved the outdoors and often would be found with a shotgun, fishing rod or golf club in his hands.
Chris was a long-time resident of Edmonds, Washington where he built his home and helped raise his family.
He is survived by all his five of his children, Eric Christensen, Lloyd Christensen, Jr., Todd Christensen, Debra Featherston, and Kiyana Satre. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A veteran's service will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2011. His ashes will be buried at sea by the U.S. Navy.
A celebration of his life will be held from 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Ballinger Lake Golf Course, 23000 Lakeview Drive, Mountlake Terrace, WA.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. I drew his blood at Dr. McGee's office for years, every other week or more often. We would chat about fishing at George ( I grew up in Ephrata) or golfing or his other outdoor interests. He was a great guy and I know will miss him dearly.

I am so sorry for your loss. Many GREAT memories of Chris. I loved watching him working in his garden. The 80th W neighborhood is gettting smaller. We lost our Mom Jan 10th. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
