Marion Lenore Michel Sommars

Our mother, Marion Lenore Michel Sommars, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2011 in hospice care at Swedish-Edmonds hospital.
Born in Jamestown, ND on May 7, 1916, she graduated from Jamestown High School and Jamestown School of Business. She lived in Minnesota until 1964 when the family moved to Edmonds, WA. She was a devoted minister's wife, marrying Fredrick A. Sommars in 1940. He pastored churches in Minnesota until accepting a call to Trinity Luthern Church in Lynnwood where he served as senior pastor for 15 years.
She was predeceased by Fredrick A. Sommars in 1996.
Surviving children are Sharon Olsen, Bremerton, Mark Sommars, Illinois, Phil Sommars, Florida and Lizz Brooks, Brier.
The family wishes to thank Providence Swedish-Edmonds for the loving care they provided in the last days of her life.
A memorial celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 196th Street in Lynnwood.
Flowers can be sent to Trinity on Saturday morning, April 9. Rememberances can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Lynnwood and Maple Park Lutheran Church, Lynnwood.

Marion was an inspiration to my Mother, Kristine Clark who also passed away this June. My thoughts and Prayers are with your family at this difficult time. I am glad my mom will be together with Marion in heaven! Julie Tatley-Kris's Daughter
