Marrion Lohoff-Bailey Obituary

Marrion Lorraine Lohoff-Bailey

Marrion Lorraine Lohoff-Bailey, our beloved "Memo", passed away peacefully on January 7, 2011.
She was born to Elva and Oscar Lohoff on October 28, 1917. The fourth of ten children, she was raised on a farm in Towner, Colorado. She graduated from Teachers College and taught in a one-room schoolhouse in Morley, Colorado until 1941. She then moved to California and, while working at the Simmons Aeronautic War Plant, she met and married Chester Forrest Bailey. Together, they had two daughters in Glendale, California, moving to Seal Beach in 1962.
She was widowed in 1967 and returned to teaching in Long Beach, California. After retiring, she moved to live on Flowing Lake near Snohomish, Washington with her daughter, Jessie.
Memo loved life! She enjoyed Leo parties, live music, reading, the birds and wildlife on the lake, and her wonderful cat, "Worm".
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Earnhardt and Jessie Paulson (Brian); grandsons, Forrest Shertzer, Matthew Earnhardt, Andrew Earnhardt (Simone); great-grandson, Owen Bailey-Earnhardt; siblings, Ivalee, Jeanne, Dixie Lee, Keith, and too many great friends and adopted adult children to count.
She was the best mother, teacher, listener and friend to us all. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held on February 5, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 913 2nd Street, Snohomish, WA.
