Mary Reis Obituary

Mary "Bernice" Reis&bb&Mary "Bernice" Reis passed away peacefully on March 4, 2002.&pe&Bernice was born on March 3, 1920, the all Irish daughter of immigrant parents. She was raised in San Francisco where her father was a fire captain.&pe&She met her husband, the late Frank Reis, during WWII and they married shortly after war's end.&pe&After Frank joined the Snohomish County PUD management team in 1966, Bernice and Frank moved to Everett with their sons, Art, Mark, John, Kevin and Ron.&pe&Bernice enjoyed many special friendships in the community and as a member of St. John's Catholic Mission. She especially enjoyed being involved with Ladies Guild activities, being on the links with the "golf bags", and trying to finesse her clever bridge partners.&pe&In addition to her five sons and daughters-in-law, Bernice's extended family includes ten grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.&pe&A March 8th, 7:00 pm Rosary Service will be held at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home in Everett followed by a March 9th, 1:00 pm Memorial Mass at St. John's Catholic Mission in Mukilteo.&pe&In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Vincent de Paul or The Alzheimer's Association.
