Nora Berg Obituary
Nora Berg
She was born and raised in Germany and while completing her degree, she took an extended vacation to California where she met her future husband. They proved love could overpower the distance and after a two-year courtship, they were married and Nora moved to America to start a new life in Edmonds.
Nora adored her family and was most happy seeing her boys grow and experience the excitement of life. Nora talked about her sons constantly and always could find traits of hers in each of them. She was an avid reader and loved movies, art and music. Nora was a master gardener and felt most at home in the dirt. She loved every animal she could see, especially her cats. She loved traveling and her favorite trip each year was a trip to Las Vegas to see old friends from California.
Nora leaves behind a loving husband of 18 years, Brian; sons, Max and Niklas; sister, Kirsten Balke; and mother, Gerda Gross.
Nora was preceded in death by her father, Manfred.
The world lost a very special soul with Nora's passing. She fought cancer with the passion with which she lived life. She will be missed every day by her family and friends, and will be remembered as a caring and wonderful woman.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Erin Ellis and the entire Swedish Cancer Institute's Treatment Center staff. Nora was aways treated as a special person during each visit and received tremendous care and compassion during every treatment.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Swedish Cancer Institute's Breast Cancer programs at www.swedish.org/Services/ Cancer-Institute/How-You-Can-Help in Nora's honor.
At a later date, the family will hold a private ceremony at Nora's request. Please share your memories with the family at becksfuneralhome.com
