Palmer Berg Obituary

Palmer Edward Berg

Bud passed away in his home peacefully on Lake Goodwin on December 19, 2010.
Bud was born in Everett, WA on April 27, 1952 to Palmer Oliver Berg and Marletta Bernadine Berg. Bud worked at Millers Interiors out of high school, but later took up welding and fabricating. He started at what is now Acrowood Corporation at age 25, building huge machines for lumber mills around the world. Bud retired from there as a machinist in Union #130 after 30 years. He leaves many friends behind at Acrowood.
Throughout Buds life, he enjoyed being in the outdoors. Whether it be hunting in eastern Washington, or fishing anywhere in the 7-lakes area, to camping with his family all over Washington state. He would love jumping in his beloved Subaru filled with camping gear, with no particular destination, and explore Washington.
Bud will be remembered best for his witty sense of humor and practical jokes, along with his ability to make you smile on your worst day.
Bud was prededed in death by his mother, Marletta; and his father, Palmer.
He is survived by his two sons, David and Daniel; two daughters-in-law, Karlea and Melissa; and three grandchildren, Jaysen, Allyson, and Logan Berg; as well as his four sisters, Randa Gibson, Sharon Stephenson, Sue Hamilton, and Barbara Hopkinson; and many, many extended family.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Please call 425-280-6464 for location and other information.

Bud was our good friend for more than 35 years. He had a heart as big as Texas and always knew what to say to make you feel better when you were down. We have so many great memories of Bud. Opening day of fishing season, opening weekend of deer season, camping trips and countless barbeques. There was never a dull moment when Bud was around. You never knew what he might do next. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a genuine love for his family. He was extremely proud of his boys and only wanted the very best for them and his grandchildren. Words cannot express the sadness we feel at his passing. We will always miss you Budly!! Rest in Peace and give Robby hugs for us!! Our love is with you always.

Now you and your good pal Tom "Hoppy" Hopkins are together again, have a great reunion Bud, we miss you both here though! It's the ones left behind that must suffer and learn to live without those who have moved on. Hopefully we'll have one big reunion again one day!

I knew Bud when he was a young boy and teenager, we were neighbors, I loved his sense of humor and his great smile. I remember my 1st camping trip with his Dad, Mom and sisters to the Ocean, we had fun. You will be missed by all, RIP Bud you have a special place in my heart and always will.

Bud showing off in my apartment back in the mid-70s...he was pretty fit, took some serious upper body strength to do this. You were one of a kind Bud!
