Jason Anderson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 31, 2013.

Jason Earl Anderson
Feb. 8, 1973 - July 26, 2013

After a courageous and painful year long battle with cancer, Jason has passed from this world.
He lived all of his life in Snohomish County, and most recently resided in Marysville, WA.
He was preceded by his brother, Garrett Anderson's untimely death two years ago.
He is survived by his mother, Judi Flood; father, Ralph Anderson; stepfather, Michael Flood; stepmother, Peggy Anderson; Paula Anderson, the mother of the absolute focus of his life, daughter, Serena and son, Peyton; and his most special niece, Katelyn Anderson; brother, Kyle Leahy and wife, Kelsey, their son, Corbin; brother, Patrick Flood; sister, Colleen McGuinn and her son, Ryan McGuinn; uncle, Edd Brayman; and aunt, Sparre Strand.
He graduated from Snohomish High School and Washington State University, a loyal member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
Jason was employed 18 years at Kimberly-Clark until the closure of the Everett facility and then most recently with The Boeing Co.
An avid sports fan, "Go Cougs" especially at Apple Cup time which was when he hosted a party…year after year. Even Husky fans could come as long as they observed a decorum which did not apply to Coug Fans. Seahawks, Mariners, especially EDDDGARRR and Griffey Jr., nobody could outdo the Edgar Martinez belter from Jason at the Kingdome or Safeco Field. He enjoyed hydroplanes, tubing the local rivers, and of course the Craps Tables, "Backside and lay the odds." He rode his bicycle many miles, rain or shine, to keep in shape.
His number 1 enjoyment…above all else…were his children, Serena and
Peyton. First and foremost Jason was truly an excellent father.
If you were his friend, you were a most fortunate individual. There are many and he will be really missed by so many.
The family would like to thank the UW Hospital, specifically the Neurological team. Very special thanks to the Providence Hospice Group, especially the caring, compassionate care from Laurie and Pat. Thank you so much.
Jason Loved and is Loved.
Memorial Service to be held Friday, August 2, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., Bauer Funeral Chapel, 701 1st Street, Snohomish.

Jason, you will be missed but never forgotten & live on in all of our hearts & the smiles, minds & actions of your children.

Ever since kindergarten @ Machias elementary I've had the pleasure of those two Anderson boys keeping me in constant giggling fits & forever shaking my head.

That smile & sense of humor just could NOT be beat! Thanks for the memories-especially talking Garrett & I as innocent little 1st graders into egging the Snohomish H/S bus with ya on the last day of school -running like chickens on fire through the forest back to Ralphs for safety! ;)
My prayers go out to all the members of the extended Flood, Leahy & Anderson families.

Dear Anderson/Flood/Leahy families....and countless friends,
I just heard about Jason's passing. My heart aches for all of you. Please except our deepest sympathies.
I'm sorry we won't be able to attend the memorial, but you all are definitely in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Our wish is that one day, so very soon, every time you think of Jason, a smile will cross your faces instead of a tear.
May God bless each and every one of you!

My thoughts & prayers go out to all of Jason's family and friends. My heart aches to hear of Jason's passing. I was one of his caregivers that had come in to help with his care. I may not have know him as many did, but the short time I spent with him brought me much happiness.

I've had the honor to know Jason for the past 15 years. He's been just about everything you can possibly be to someone. He's been my friend, boyfriend, husband, the father of my children, and in this past year my brother in Christ. God used Jason to grow me, change me, challenge me, make me desperate enough to receive the gifts and promises of Jesus and finally to heal and restore me. This past year has been a miracle of cherished memories for our little family. The kids and I have peace knowing that J LIVES in each of us as we are all part of him. He is ALIVE now in heaven, healthy and FREE. Each day we walk this journey we get closer to seeing you again, Jason. We Love You! ~P.

I'm sorry to see you go Jason. I don't know why the world is the way it is; and I am not sure why you were chosen to leave us so soon. What I do know is Serena and Peyton will always be looked after. I promise you that.

Goodbye Jason, until we meet again! I worked with Jason for many years in the Pulpmill. He was a fun person to work with! We would sit and tell each other stories about our cats and eventually his stories grew I
into Serena and Peyton stories. What a swell guy! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family! I can't be there personally on Friday to tell you goodbye J but you will be in my thoughts! Fly with the best of them!

My heart goes out to his family and children, I had no idea Jason was ill. Such a great individual with an amazing personality. I ran into him and his son at a Seahawks game two years ago and it was evident the special bond that was there between the two.I remember kicking down dead trees at Greenstock one year and getting soaked, not caring at all. Rest in Peace Jason. You will be missed.
