Darrell Greer Obituary

Darrell Greer August 23, 1940-August 19, 2014 Darrell Greer passed away at his home in Edmonds, Wash. Darrell was born in Coos Bay, Oregon to Dallas and Virginia Greer. He graduated from Edmonds High School in 1958. On August 17, 1962 he married Sheila Olson and they were blessed with two children, Jeffery and Tiffany. Darrell followed in his father's footsteps by working in the carpet industry. He started first by laying carpet, followed by sales until he was forced to retire due to disability. He was very well known in the industry and respected by many. He was an avid Hot Wheel collector and enjoyed shopping for just about anything that he could give away. Darrell was a generous man and was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Darrell is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sheila Greer; his son, Jeffery Greer and his wife, Barbara; daughter, Tiffany Linn and her husband, Mike; his brother, Dale Greer and his wife, Myrna; four grand-children, Kane, Ty, Patrick and Darrian. A time of gathering will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Lynnwood Eagles Hall on Hwy. 99 from 1:30 until 4:30. A potluck will be served and we are asking that those in attendance bring a dish to share. Beverages will be available for purchase.
