Mike, you will be missed but always in everybody's memories. Our prayers are with your family. Had a lot of fun pushing you around at the races track in your different cars through the years. I was glad I got to spend time with you even though it was just through racing. Rudy from Cascade Push Trucks

Mike made such a lasting and positive impact on my life....one of a kind....an incredibly warm, friendly and giving person. So unselfish, so caring of others all of the time. I have a very hard time reading all of these tributes here to Mike, as it makes me so upset...been feeling pretty bad over his passing...so unfair....if everyone in the world was like Mike Marthaller, the Lord would not even need a second coming....he was THAT good of a person. My sincere condolences to the whole Marthaller family. I'm just so sorry you lost the best there is....I will try to act in life as Mike has shown me how in all the talks we had, plus his fine example of how he treated others.....in a loving and positive way....God bless you all.

Dear Ms. Rocha, Mike Jr. and Mike's Family,

I did not know Mike personally (I wish that I had), however, I did know him through www.turbobuick.com - the online forum he frequented. And while I know that you don't know me, however, I consider myself a friend of Mike's.

And I just wanted you all to know that Mike was so dearly loved and he will be sorely missed in our little community. I would also like to suggest that should any of you ever need anything at all, that you all are more than welcome to lean on us at any time! And please know that Mike has friends on our board from all across the fruited plane (and therefore so do you)! And folks, there isn't one among us who would not be more than happy to be there for you in any way that we possible can! And while I cannot speak for everyone, however, I know that Mike would go out of his way to help most anyone. Therefore I (for one) would like to do the same, just as many others would as well, I am quite sure!

Ms. Rocha, Mike, Jr & Family, there are no words that I can think of to comfort you at a time like this. And I would never pretend to know nor understand the loss of which you must be feeling. However, I just wanted to take a moment to inform you that you have more friends than you know. And there are plenty of us who would love to be there for you all in whatever way you would see fit!

I do not pretend to understand why so many good men, women and children are taken from us all too soon. Nor would I ever suggest that I can understand your pain, as I can't even imagine! However, I can tell you that it saddens me greatly to see such a good man taken from us all. Therefore I would offer you all, my deepest, most sympathetic condolences!

And I would remind you all that Mike was what I like to call a measuring stick of a man. Meaning that Mike was the kind of man that men should aspire to be when they grow up. The kind of man that others can only hope slightly measure up to. Mike was beyond a good man, he was a great soul!

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all in your time of need! May God hold you in His Hand and comfort your every need! God Bless You All!!

Warmest regards,
Phillip Burnett!
PS, Below is poem that someone shared with me a while back, so I am sharing it with you now.

Missing You Always
You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.
In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still.
In my heart I hold a place that only you can fill.
It broke my heart to lose you, but, you didn't go alone.
A part of me went with you, the day that God took you home.

Mike's story is an inspiration to me on how I should treat people. The world would be a much better place if there were more people like him, but alas he truly was one of a kind. Rest in peace Mike. You helped change more lives than you ever knew.

My heart hurts, because your physical being is gone, but my soul smiles and smirks...because of you, and for you. You are the kindness bro-friend a girl could ever have. I swear to all the goodness in the universe, and on the race track, you shall always be first place to me. You, along with your sensatinal son dreamed of having your own race car team, you and yours did achieve...I'm still dreaming of becoming part of the push broom team! Nothing but LOVE...above and beyond...an oval has no end my beloved friend. And I promise to take top shelf care of my daughter child Hannie Lu, as you adored her, she too adores you. LOVE!
