Jeanne Lawson Obituary

Jeanne Lawson, 96, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at John Clarke Retirement Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Eric Lawson for 62 years. Born in New York City, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Sara (Rubin) Stabin, she was a longtime resident of Fall River and a teacher in the Fall River School System. Jeanne was a graduate of Hunter College in New York City, Class of 1940. She was a member of Temple Beth-El, a life member of Hadassah and also a member of Brandeis Group. Devoted mother of Mark Lawson and his companion, Marsha Willis, of Denver, CO and Denise Lawson and her companion, Luther Roberts, of Tiverton, RI. Dear sister of Harvey Stabin and his wife, Risa, of Jamaica, NY. Loving grandmother of Rima and cherished great grandmother of Ethan. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in Temple Beth-El Cemetery, 4620 N. Main Street, Fall River. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Temple Beth-El, 385 High St., Fall River, MA 02920. Shiva will be private.
