Charles Duffen Obituary

RICHBURG - Charles Robert Duffen, 64, of 601 Bernice Lane, passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at his residence.

A native of Methuen, Mass., Mr. Duffen was born Oct. 14, 1946, a son of the late Harold R. and Marcella Butler Duffen. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran and of the Catholic faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia E. Duffen.

Surviving are his son, Sean Duffen of N.H.; a daughter, Kimberly Faulkner of Haverhill, Mass.; two brothers, Harold Duffen of Epping, N.H., and James Duffen of N.H.; one sister, Marcella Vincent of N.H.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.

The Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, with Father David A. Runnion presiding. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.
