Carson Steele Obituary
Carson was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin whose smile could light up a room. He was a friend to many with a servant's heart. He was proud to be completing Castle Heights Middle School and going on to Rock Hill High School where he would be a ninth grader. During his three years at Castle Heights Middle School, he ran track, was the captain of the Robotics team and played the trumpet in band. Carson was two belts shy of earning his black belt in taekwondo. There was nothing in technology that he could not figure out. He loved his church, First Baptist Church of Rock Hill where he was baptized and most of all, he loved his Saviour, Jesus Christ. Carson was a member of the Royal Ambassador program.
Carson will be missed and we are greatly saddened by his loss, but we know that because of the resurrected Christ, we will see him again one day.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill and other times at the home. Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at First Baptist Church, 481 Hood Center Drive. Rock Hill, SC 29730. Interment will be at Grandview Memorial Park - Cherry Road.

Dear Carson, yesterday marked 10 months since I've last heard your voice seen your face and got to spend time with you. I only knew you for a year but you always somehow managed to make my mornings I miss seeing your smile and hearing that pubescent laugh of yours. There really isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you we love and miss you dearly.

Almost 1 year later. I sadly only got to know Carson for one year, but I thank god for the time I had with him. He is such such a good person, and one of the best friends anyone could ever ask for. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him. I miss you Carson. I hope I get to see you again someday.

The minute I saw Carson's picture, memories of a spirited, fun, energetic 7 year old flooded my mind. Carson was in my 2nd grade class. He was one of those students that you loved instantly and never, ever forgot. He had a passion and joy for life and a giving spirit that filled others with that same joy! My heart goes out to you, his family and friends. Praying that God will wrap his arms around you and comfort you in a way only He can. Much love,

Dear Steele Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I remember having both Alex and Carson in my preschool class when they were 2 years old. They were such sweet boys and both had a smile that would light up a room. My daughter Angel has went to school with both of them since kindergarten. She said Alex and Carson both were great friends and Carson will be greatly missed! She wanted Alex to know that she is thinking and praying for him and that she is here for him!!

Steele Family,
Saying goodbye to my students on the last day of school is sometimes difficult. Saying goodbye to someone in life is even harder. Fortunately we all believe that death is not the end as we have been taught through Jesus' Resurrection.
Even though I was Carson's teacher, he taught me many lessons through our daily interactions during Band. He was honest and sincere with a heart of gold. His smile lifted the clouds on a stormy day.
When speaking to my students about a good ending to a piece of music, I explained how they could hear the angels a second after we stopped playing (like an echo). The angels play along with us but only if it's a good performance will they be able to hear the angels after our last note. My band director taught me that and I passed it on to my students. Now when we listen for the angels, we'll know there's a new angel playing along with us.

Dear The Steele's, I am so sorry about this tragedy. I can't imagine what yall are going through. Every time I close my eyes I see Carson's sweet face. I wish this wouldn't have happened. My heart is breaking for you all in the loss of Carson! He was such a gentle soul with a great personality! I have only known him a few months since starting Taekwondo back in October, but what I saw in him was truly special! He was truly one special person with a great heart! His smile and laughter always put me at ease around him. He was so easy to talk to and get along with! I loved who he was and I am so thankful & blessed to have had the chance to get to know him in the short time that I did!
You all will be in my thoughts and prayers! I will carry Carson with me in my heart forever!
