DAVID SHACKLETT Obituary
Sep. 6, 1959 - May 1, 2013
David Shacklett, of Venice was called home on May 1, 2013. David loved his family, friends, and community. For over a decade David touched the lives of many both on and off the soccer field. He is survived by his wife Kimberly Dodge Shacklett, his children Susanne, Daniel, Talon Shacklett, Dylan, Caleb, Gabriel, Shianne Gordon. His brothers, Eduardo, Gordon & sisters Susannah and Sarah. David held a special place in heart for Samantha, Jessie & Mickey.
A celebration of his life will take place May 5, @ 4;00 pm @ Garbarndt Soccer Field (Venice Soccer Club house). David was the grill master, please bring a chair, a dish to pass and your memories. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Venice YMCA youth soccer scholarship fund.

He was a very motivating coach to me and I will miss him very much!I am sure that he helped out a lot of players on the soccer field get the meaning of the game and its worthiness to give it all you can out there. Dave and I met many years ago playing soccer for the Venice Falcons Mens Team. I will miss him and those days... I'm sure Dave is kicking the ball on a fresh cut soccer field in the sky. RIP #3 We had a lot of great times together !
