Jim and I started graduate school at Purdue at the same time, although I was a midwesterner and he was from THE CITY. One way or another we spent quite a bit of time together. A couple of years later my wife (Marilyn) and I got married and Jim, along with his buddy from Manhattan college, John Holoczak (sp?), were in the wedding party. Jim and I were in different research groups at Purdue so our paths separated after a while and we never saw each other after graduation. I have good memories or our time together and I'm really sorry that he is gone.

Dear Joan, Steven and Ann Marie,
We heard from Catherine and Bill Tighe the very sad news regarding Jim. So sorry for your loss.
It looks as though you have moved around since we saw you last. We are now in RI and are headed this month to VA to be closer to Bill and Kathleen and their two boys Finian and Ronan.
We will keep you in our prayers and wish you the best.
Regards,
Joan and Bill Cashman

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
