Evelyn Hartman Obituary
Jan. 26, 1926 - May 12, 2011
Evelyn Hartman died at the age of 85 in Venice. A memorial service will be held at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home in Dyer, Ind. She was predeceased by her husband, William Hartman, and they will be interred together in their companionship urn.
She is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Jeff Bachtel of Venice and her loving and only granddaughter, Joie Woods of Indianapolis. Evelyn was the oldest daughter of 11 children and those surviving her are sisters: Vivian Springer of Crown Point, Ind., Patty Driscoll of Lafayette, Ind., Lillian Weber of Mantino, Ill., Judy Berger of Oak Forest, Ill.; brothers Tom Fugate of Dyer, Ind., Ronald Fugate of Beecher, Ill; and many cousins, nieces and nephews from coast to coast and oldest and dearest friend, Marge Wishner of Venice. Evelyn was known for stories and adventures, and will be missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
