To the entire Phinney clan, my sincere sympathy on the passing of this wonderful woman. I have so many fond memories of Doris Place and the impromptu Easter parade with all the kids organized and led by your mom. She was a beautiful person and you all can hold a special place in your hearts just for her. It is tough to witness parents as they age and we get older knowing that the end will come for them soon. Hold tight to all the wonderful things she did in her life and always cherish her memory and emulate her spirit. My love and prayers to all of you.

To Rachel's Family,
Rachel (or Mrs. Phinney back in the day) was my "Mother" when I played Amahl in "Amahl and the Night Visitors" 36 years ago at West Side Church in Ridgewood. She was a beautiful and gracious woman with a gorgeous voice. My prayers are with you all in this time of loss.
"At noon we shall eat
Roast goose and sweet almonds
At night we shall sleep
with the sheep and stars...
Good night."

Peace,

Donna, Bill and family,

What a beautiful tribute for such a truly welcoming woman. Rachel always made you feel you had her complete attention and was interested in everyone, but her family was first. Oh how she loved nature and taught that to her family who taught that to their friends. Thank you for the time we had.
Love Maureen

Dear Donna and Doty,
Oh how I have enjoyed your Mom over the years as well as your Uncle DeForest. We three sang together in the choir and shared the love of animals. I used to see your Mom at shapes too. The hard part of being away is missing memorial services when they arise. Hugs to you all, In deepest sympathy, Kathi Taylor
