Ella Begley Obituary

Begley, Ella
June 3, 2011

Ella Begley, age 63, previously of Sarasota, Fla., currently of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011.
Ella was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late Edward and Katherine Logan. Ella was truly a very inspiring and loving woman. She and her husband John were devoted high school sweethearts. The two of them eventually married, began their family together, and happily shared in 43 years of marriage. Ella's passion for life and her family was uplifting and inspiring to those who knew her. She valued her family and cherished the relationships she shared with them. Being a wife, mother, and especially a grandmother, were all things that were most important her. Ella gave herself to everyone she met and she had the ability to make everyone feel comfortable around her and welcome in her heart. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society, was active in the Wellness Community, and enjoyed walking, playing golf, and crocheting.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, John Begley; children, Joanna (Chris) Doyle, John (Marcy) Begley, and Jim (Melanie) Begley; grandchildren, Cailyn, Johnny, Connor, Mia, Colleen, Addy, and Jim; sisters, Kass (George Denger) Krynski, Beth (George) Wright, and Joan (Charlie Beck) Logan; brother, Edward (Peggy) Logan; and many other extended family members and dear friends.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6899 Smokey Row Rd. Family received friends on Wednesday at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, OH 43085.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 929 Harrison Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43215 or to Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Blvd., Suite 210, Columbus, Ohio 43229.

Ella Begley was one of my favorite people in this world. Her passing has made us all very sad but it is only because she was such a joy to have in our lives and she will be missed so dearly. I have so many fun, caring, and thoughtful memories of Mrs. B. and I feel very fortunate to have known her. She deserved more time but made the most of what she had. I will really miss her.

John, we were so sad to follow Ella's courageous battle to its end. She was indeed one of the sweetest, most loving people we've known. Hopefully you are comforted a bit by knowing how very much you, the kids and the grandkids enriched her life. May your fondest memories stay with you. Surely she is smiling on you all now and always.
