I still see Mary in my mind, in her running shorts around base, in Okinawa. She was always friendly and calm, and I still cant believe she is gone. She left an impression on us and I hope her family finds some solace in that, she isnt forgotten.

We are shocked to hear such sad news about Mary. I had many times tried to find her and Andy. We met them in Okinawa, Japan- although Mary was not dating Andy yet. Mary was a hard- working, compassionate and highly competent, albeit unassuming care giver that was always professional and a team player. She was a consummate Air Force officer and huge asset to the Mental Health Clinic and 52 Med Group. We have many fond memories of clinic get togethers with her and Andy. We remember her quiet, kind disposition, but she also had a great sense of humor. I remember her telling me early on that there would always be more work to do and I should go home on time to be with my family- she was good about setting limits and priorities, and creating balance in her life and the climate of the clinic. Andy, we are thinking of you and our hearts go to you and the family.

I was just recently made aware of Mary's passing. My wife and I are deeply saddened. I knew Mary back in Okinawa where we served together in the Air Force. She was one of the finest Officers and one of the best social workers I had the privilege to work with. Our condolences to Andy and the family.

Mary was in the Sarasota County Master Gardener class of 2008. When we interviewed Mary, we knew she would be an asset to our program because of her desire to help others and protect the environmnet. We were sorry when she had to leave the program to treat her illness. She has been missed.

We are so saddened by the loss of Mary. She was a shining example of how to live a life - a sincere, caring, fun, and loving person in every way. We will always be grateful for knowing Mary and will especially remember spending New Year's Eve together in 2008, dancing together at the MTC Banquets, and just running in races together. Our hearts go out to Andy and all of Mary's family at this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

It was with great sorrow that Jane and I read of Mary's passing. We simply cannot find words to adequately express our condolences to her family, especially to our friend, Andy.
We were fortunate to get to know Mary while she and Andy were in Sarasota and will remember her as a wonderful, caring person. We will keep her memory close and keep Andy and her family in our thoughts and prayers at this tragic time and forever.

I was very sad to see the announcement that Mary had passed. We went to school together for many years. I believe she may have been in my first grade class (not positive on that) I have not seen or spoken to her since high school, but she has crossed my mind over the years as to what direction her life took her. I remember that Mary was always friendly and kind with a great sense of humor. My condolences to her family. Linda Yohler Poole.
