Rubenstein, Paul Bendix

Paul Bendix Rubenstein, 91, Sarasota, formerly of Wellesley and Waban, Mass., died March 4, 2008.
Services are today in Brookline, Mass. Burial in Temple Israel Cemetery, Wakefield, Mass. Levine Chapel, Brookline, is in charge.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Dorothy (Klein), and loving children Alan Bendix Rubenstein and wife Carol of Sherborn, Mass., and Alice Bendix Rubenstein of Oakland, Calif.
Also survived by grandchildren David Bendix and Julie Bendix Rubenstein. Dear brother of the late John Bendix Rubenstein. He was the son of the late Judge Philip Rubenstein and Minna (Dreyfus) Rubenstein.
He attended Boston Latin School, Phillips Academy and the University of Arizona. Paul was president of Security Mills Inc. of Newton, Mass., and was active in the Newton Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of the Young Presidents Organization and was elected chairman of its New England Chapter.
Paul had many interests. He was an accomplished pianist and private pilot, having learned to fly at age 16. He was also an avid skier and swimmer. During his retirement, he devoted much of his time to writing poetry. He was admired by his friends and family for his humor, wit and charm.
