Van Cleve Edwards, 64, of Bradenton, FL, died on Nov. 21, 2013. Visitation will be held from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Fri., Nov. 29, 2013 at St. John First Baptist Institutional Church in Palmetto, FL. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sat., at St. John First Baptist Institutional Church in Palmetto, FL. Funeral arrangements by: Westside Funeral Home.

Van was a real gentleman. He dedicated himself to personal improvement and the improvement of those in his presence. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed being with them. He always had a smile, a positive comment, and a good sense of humor. We, members of the Still Family, will miss you.

Coach Edwards was one of the most gentle and most humble man that I've ever known. He lead by example and lived for Christ he stood out among the rest. He was one of my favorite coaches and a very memorable person. I give my deepest condolences and prayers to his family whom he loved and cherished very much. Coach E you will be missed!

I sit here and remember how you brought the best out of everyone that you encountered. You left an impression on so many people that will truly always be remembered.
