Warren J. Clark, 93, of Sarasota, FL and Branford, CT died on March 20, 2015. Born August 7, 1921 in Montclair, NJ to Peter and Mabel (Egerton) Clark, youngest of 8 children.
A veteran of WWII, 1st Lt. US Army Air Force, he flew with the 450th Bomb Group 'The Cottontails' out of Manduria, Italy from 1943-1945.
After his decorated service, he owned and operated an air ambulance transport. A 30 year career as Airline Captain, Flight Instructor, Mentor and 'class act,' he retired from Seaboard World Airlines (now Fedex).
He was an officer and member of SPAR; the Seaboard Pilots Association Retirees and a member of the Palm Aire Country Club.
In addition to his passion for flying, he was a lifelong accomplished sailor, loved swimming, fishing and golf. A lover of life, he continued to travel the world well into his retired years.
He is survived by his loving partner of 36 years, Dolores Andrew, 3 Children; Patricia (Kevin) Monthie of Danbury, CT; Nancy Clark of Laguna Niguel, CA; Tom (Bernadette) Clark of Aliso Viejo, CA, 4 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter.
He will forever be remembered for his kindness, wisdom and sense of humor.
A celebration of his life will take place at the Sarasota National Cemetery on April 14 at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mote Marine Laboratory, 1600 Ken Thompson Parkway, Sarasota, FL 34236.

Miss him so much! Especially his "Pinkyisms" as I call them ( e.g. "tube steaks" were hot dogs; "go aheads" were flip flops.

Dolores,
I just found out today about Warren's passing when Norm visited with Nancy. Warren was and will always be a phenomenal man respected and loved by many. I'm sorry I did not know sooner because I would have joined in the celebration of his life.
