Lorine Duncan Obituary

Lorine "Rene" Duncan NEWTON Lorine "Rene" Duncan, 75, of Newton died Friday, Dec. 16, 2011 at her residence. Born Sept. 10, 1936 in Baltimore, Md. She was the daughter of the late Adrian Mason Weems and Evelyn Marie Morris Weems. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd W. Duncan, Sr. She is survived by her son, Lloyd William Duncan, Jr. and his wife, Teresa of Kings Mountain; daughters, Cheryl Herron and her husband, Don of Hickory, and Kelly Hamilton, and her husband, Michael of Hickory; brother, Adrian Weems and his wife, Susan of Cumberland, Md.; sisters, Glenice Clopine of Baltimore, Md., and Kay Winter and her husband, Jim of Artemis, Pa.; grandchildren, April Herron, Kassy Herron, Tia Duncan, and Matthew Hamilton. A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover with the Rev. Rick Yount officiating. Burial will follow at Conover City Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the Duncan family at www.drumfuneralhome.com The Duncan family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home and Cremations in Conover.
