Maxine Tuttle Obituary

Maxine I. Tuttle, born Sept. 26, 1917, in Willimantic, Conn., passed away peacefully in her sleep March 4, 2012, at the age of 94. She can now dance and ride her horses with the freedom she enjoyed for most of her life.
She married Gordon F. Tuttle on June 16, 1939, in the state of Vermont. They enjoyed 62 years together before Gordy passed away in 2001. She moved to Cache Valley in the fall of 2007 to be near her family as her sight deteriorated.
She and Gordy had three children together, Judyth (Charles), Peter (Gayle) and Patricia (Paul). She enjoyed her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she was able to visit with as she traveled extensively until the last year of her life.
She loved riding horses and just being around animals. She taught swimming and horseback riding through the years as they moved around the East Coast. To the end of her life she always had animals around her. She loved to dance and could be seen doing dance steps on her way down to the dining room at Pioneer Valley Lodge where she lived these last few years.
A special thanks to her grandson, Matt, who helped her take care of her cats and took her out for lunch, helped get her to appointments and took the time to just sit and visit with her.
A special thanks to Integrity Home Care and Hospice who helped with mom during the past few months when she needed the extra help.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah, in Maxine's name.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the First Presbyterian Church, 12 S. 200 West in Logan, Utah. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.

Oh that is a milestone passing---Maxie brought horse show time and springtime to our little corner of New York. When Maxie was on the scene again, things were where they were supposed to be for another season. God bless

To the family of Maxine. My name is Laci. I got to know Maxine for a few short weeks but she has held a spot in my heart. I can't help but to say she had so much spunk it made my heart smile. Even though I didn't know her very well I will miss her. May her spirit carry on.

To the family of my dear friend Maxine. I just want you to know how much I enjoyed getting to know your mother. She was always a highlight of my day, when she came into the bank. I will miss her sweet spirit. God bless your family.
