Louis Brower Obituary
Louis served in the army in WWII. When he came back from the war, he married Marian Rietman. He was employed at Chris-Craft Corporation for 33 years, until his retirement. In addition to Chris-Craft, he was a farmer his whole life. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Jean Berghorst, son-in-law Larry Lugten, and siblings, infant Glenn Brower, Glenn Brower, John Brower, Marvin Brower, Gladys Moll, Florence Pyle, and Hazel Nagelkirk.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marian; Children, Harvey and Marcia Brower of Zeeland, Jerry Brower of Grand Rapids, Judy and Mike Zuverink of Hamilton, Ronald and Jane Brower of Zeeland, David and Candi Brower of Zeeland; Son-in-law, Michael Berghorst; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren (and one on the way); Sisters, Arlene and Pete DeVries, Marjorie Horn; Brother, Don and Fran Brower; Sisters-in-law, Florence Brower, Marjorie Pyle; Brother-in-law, Gordon Nagelkirk; Sisters-in-law, Alma and Arthur Bouwkamp, Leona Zoerman, Shirley Rietman; Many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Beaverdam Christian Reformed Church, 5166 64th Ave, in Hudsonville. Rev. Tyler Wagenmaker will be officiating. Burial will be in North Blendon Cemetery. Visiting will be Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street, in Holland.
