My condolences to the family of this remarkable man. I was one of the many students who Mr. Meyer poured into during his teaching career. I can truly say that I am the man that I am due in part to Mr. Meyer and his teachings. God Bless. William (Kenny) Stratton, Capitol Christian Academy Class of 1984.

Sorry to hear of this re. Mr. Meyer. He was my children's teacher at Capitol Christian Academy. They only had and still have good things to say about him. May the strength of God's hand be upon his family.

I graduated from high school 18 years ago and hearing about the passing of Mr. Meyer stung just as if I imagine it would have if I had heard it when I was in school. Such an incredible man who impacted my life for the better. You will never be forgotten. People like him leave a lasting impression in your heart I wish the world had more like him!

My condolences to all the family, especially to Sue and Jonathan, whom I knew best. James was ever an advocate for the Lord Jesus Christ, ever an always concerned for Biblical living and purity. Whlie we grieve, though not as those who have no hope, yet James is rejoicing in the presence of the LORD he so deeply loved!

James Meyer had an amazing sense of humor. He was kind, gentle towards all, and was both Godly and strong. He will be missed but we don't grieve as those who "have no hope." ours is the hope of Heaven!! <3

I have only met Mr. Meyer a couple of times. Although my past with him has been limited, he always put a smile on my face each time he said hello to me, even though he didn’t know me personally. I have been so blessed to have his daughter’s family (the Sherwins) as a part of my life, and I know that he has had an incredible impact on their lives. I have heard so much about him, and I know that he was very well loved. He showed Christ in his life to his grandchildren whom I love, and I’m sure that in part because of his influence, I have seen Christ through them. I am so sorry that he is no longer able to be with them, but I am happy to know that he is with his Saviour in heaven and that I will meet him again one day. I will continue to be in prayer for all of the family through this time. -Psalm 18:2,6

This truly was a wonderful man in many ways. He was witty, too. We've known him for many years. He was a business associate, teacher and friend to many of us. We mourn with the family in his homegoing. He will be missed.
