Skip was a true gentleman, and as RE of the Washington DC Region, SCCA an effective and caring leader. Skip had a marvelous dry wit. We are all the poorer for his passing. In a sport where there can be intense competition and stress, Skip remained a gentleman always, but he was still a 100 percent genuine enthusiast.

As a neighbor, I have had the opportunity to witness the ways Skip and Carol, clearly a happy and loving couple, crafted and enjoyed their time free of work obligations. I hope the memories of happy times will help sustain the family during this sad time.

I knew Skip (and Carol) from our mutual involvement in varied activities with the Washington DC Region, SCCA...in my case from the late 1960's through the early 1980's. "Old Guard" racers like Skip are indeed forever young. Rest In Peace Skip.
My sincere condolences to Carol and family.

I didn't know Skip well, but every time I heard his name I was reminded of him as a symbol of what the ultimate SCCA racer was all about. He cared, participated and gave of himself. He was from the old guard, but he,as a racer, was forever young. There are not many left like skip. I know I am joined by all of his friends in the racing community and beyond who honor him and won't forget his contributions
