William Dearman Obituary

WILLIAM T. DEARMAN, of Sugar Land, Texas, born February 12, 1921, to Richard T. and Alice Dearman, died Friday, June 13, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; son, William T. Dearman, Jr. and his wife Cara of Colorado; stepson, Mark Hamlin and his wife Rhonda; granddaughters, Aria and Caitlin Dearman; and stepgrandchildren, Ryan and Rachel Hamlin. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Greg Dearman.
Bill grew up in Choctaw County, Alabama. After graduation from high school in Alabama, he began employment with the U.S. Government. He subsequently joined the Air Force and served in North Africa and Italy. Upon receiving his honorable discharge, he enrolled at Auburn University, where he received a B.S. Degree in Economics. After graduation, he began employment for various insurance companies. He subsequently enrolled in law school at Loyola University. He later transferred to South Texas School of Law. Upon receiving his law license, he worked for various corporations. In 1963, he began a private Law Practice, and was so engaged until his retirement. Bill was a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Fort Bend and Houston Bar Associations, various other legal organizations, as well as the Sugar Creek Country Club.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held at a future date.
