JOHNSON
Michael James Johnson, Sr., 52, died September 12, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital, Houston, Texas. Born September 24, 1958 in New Orleans, Louisiana, he moved to Houston after hurricane Katrina. He is survived by his wife, Linda Johnson; three children, Michael Johnson, Jr., Nichele Johnson, Tiffany Johnson, and a step-daughter Brianna; his mother O'Livia Battiste; brother George (Carolyn) Battiste; sisters Giselle Battiste and Cherise (Jimmy) Brown; and six grandchildren, Ennis Ray Shorts, III, Meagan Johnson, Malik Johnson, Mekhi Johnson, Malik Johnson and James Johnson. He worked as operations supervisor for First Transit. He was a loyal New Orleans Saints fan.
Funeral services will be held at the "Church Without Walls," 5725 Queenston Blvd., Houston, Texas. Viewing is Monday, September 19th at 9:00 A.M. with a service at 10:00 A.M.

big mike was a great friend dating back when we worked together at Entergy in new orleans. we went to a number of saints- falcons games in atlanta. Deepest sympathy for his family, he will be missed but he's in a better place with the lord. cleveland (c.j) johnson (new orleans).
