Robert NEITZ Obituary
ROBERT EVAN NEITZ, age 13, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011. He was born June 9, 1998, in Houston, to Richard and Carol Rubesh Neitz. Robert was a student at Reading Jr. High School, in Richmond, TX. He was a talented artist who enjoyed surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding, and rock climbing. Robert is survived by his parents; brother, Connor; sister, Nicole; and other loving family members and friends. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 27, 2011, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit). Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, October 28, 2011, at Sugar Creek Baptist Church, 13333 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land. Interment will follow at Morton Cemetery, in Richmond, TX. The family would like to extend their appreciation for the support they have received from the Greatwood Community in Sugar Land and the Rye Community in New Hampshire, to both Campbell Elementary School and Reading Jr. High School, and to Sugar Creek Baptist Church.

Ummm... wow its been a long time for me to write something and like i just dont know what to write at all. All i can say is that i miss you sooo much Robert and always will too. I have so many good memories of when you and I hung out. I loved having you stay at my house the last week you lived in Rye. I remember how much you made me laugh. I remember when you fell off your longboard and before you even hit the ground, you screamed "MAN SCAR!"

I just wanted to send out my thoughts and prayers for you and your family. Robert was one of my younger brothers best friends in elementary school and I have strong memories of coming home to seeing him and Max. Robert had the biggest smile that could light up anyones day, he was sincere and thoughtful and made everybody feel welcome. I am so sorry for your loss, no one deserves to go through this.

I am not sure if I have ever met you before, but my daughter Kristina is in the 7th grade at Rye Junior High. We attended the service at the church in Rye. Robert seemed like a beautiful person and we wanted to be at the service being a parent and a fellow Rye neighbor. We really hope your family can find happiness and peace as time goes on. Carol, Rick, Nicole, and Connor we are deeply saddened by the lost of Robert. When I found out what happened to Robert I was heart broken. I could not stop crying. I was so sad that I couldn't eat, sleep, talk, and do any of my work. I just wanted yall to know that we are so sorry for your lost.

Dear Rick, Carol, Connor, and Nicole,
We are all deeply saddened by the great loss of such a wonderful young man whose fun-filled smile and personality touched so many hearts along his very short life. He was a dear friend to my grandson Xavier Kennedy, and it was always so much fun to watch them at Rye skate park, and school functions. We will miss him very much, and will take comfort when we see the brightest star in the sky, knowing it is Robert, the sweetest angel in heaven.

We are very sorry to hear about Robert. Xavier considered Robert a very good friend. He remembers him being quiet but also very funny and he made Xavier laugh all the time. He is extremely saddened. The photo gallery is a beautiful glimpse into Robert's life.

Mr. and Mrs. Neitz, I would just like to let you know that Robert was a wonderful young man. In the short time that he spent at Reading Junior High, he touched so many students, teachers and staff members lives in such a positive way. This was certainly evident by the number of students and teacher that were present at the service paying their respects to Robert. I still see him sitting at lunch laughing and smiling with my son Jacob and his friends. The "longhorn family" is fortunate to have known such a wonderful and beautiful young man and his loss has affected us all. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time and you are not alone. Today you have a special angel looking over you. God Bless you.
