William Gordon Obituary

WILLIAM E. GORDON
1941-2015
William (Bill) Eugene Gordon went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Tomball, Texas after an 8 month battle with brain cancer. Bill was the loving son of Clyde and Lola Gordon, the devoted husband of Carole Indjidjian Gordon, dedicated dad of Brandon Gordon and Ashley Kelton and proud Pops of McCray, McKamey, Casen & Manning.
Bill was born to Clyde W. and Lola McKamey Gordon on November 16, 1941 in Indiana. He graduated from LSU and was an avid fan of "Tiger" sports. Bill served 4+ years in the US Air Force and attained the rank of Captain. He worked over 30 years for Imperial Sugar Company in management. After Imperial, he started and owned ABM Appraisals, a real estate appraisal company.
Bill was a member of Jersey Village Church of Christ for 45 years and most recently worshiped at Magnolia Church of Christ. He had a passion for basketball and was an official for 19 years. Bill could be found most days on the golf course. When he was not golfing, he could be spotted on the sidelines cheering on kids and grandkids or traveling the world.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Clyde Gordon; sister and brother-in-law Janet and Ron Schlenker. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carole Gordon; daughter Ashley Kelton and husband Brent and children McCray and Casen of Magnolia; son Brandon Gordon and wife Michelle and children McKamey and Manning of Magnolia; mother Lola Gordon of Tomball.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. and the funeral on May 20, 2015 at 10 a.m., both at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Bill's honor to one of the following charities: The Wounded Warrior Project, East West Ministries or Pine Cove Christian Camp.

Carole, Ashley and Brandon, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Bill was a fine gentleman and the best boss that you could ever wish for. Bill and I started at Imperial Sugar the same year (1970). I worked for Bill in the Maintenance Dept. office for several years. He loved to talk basketball and of course golf. I never could beat him playing golf. I will always treasure the friendship we had for those many years.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Bill. We came to know the Gordon family through their son Brandon. He was close friends with one of our sons through high school and college. We know Bill to be a godly man who loved his family and grandchildren. With his new home in heaven he is now pain free. Our love, thoughts, and prayers go out to the Gordon family.
