To My Beloved Christopher II,
On December 18, 2007, I celebrated a birthday while simultaneously mourning the 15-month date of your passing. It is unbelievable that the pain and sorrow of missing you have not lessened, yet we continue to endure. So many wonderful blessings have been bestowed upon your name, including a KPC Jr. Knight Award, a KPC Senior Commander Award, Governor Perry’s signing of the new AED bill at your school in your honor, the tree planting and memorial bricks at Booker T. Washington HS in your name, the memorial bench at the Rice School, the #138 step team routine dedicated to you, and the many songs, tributes, and dedications in your honor. You continue to be so loved, admired, and adored.
Chris, I know you are enjoying the kingdom of Heaven, but it hurts that you were taken from us. We miss your laughter and your conversations. We miss your wit and your leadership. We miss your smile and your charm. We miss your hugs and your compassion. We miss you. Our lives changed the day you passed away, and it remains a shock that you are not physically with us. For me, there is an emptiness that cannot be filled. My daily prayer is that God grants me understanding of why you were called home. You are enjoying your mansion in Heaven, but we are miserable without you on earth.
My son, I love you dearly. I pray for your soul, and I will cherish all of the time that we did spend together. Continue to be our angel and look down upon us. You will forever live in my heart.
Missing you every moment,
Your Dad

I know the family will find strength to make it through this difficult period and I pray that time and memories will help lessen the burden of your sorrow. Remember always, those special moments with Chris that brought you so close together. Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

An Ambassador For Christ was synonimous with the name Chris Pichon, II. I was so proud to have Chris as a member of the Ambassadors For Christ of St. Francis Xavier Church. He wanted to be an effective "messenger of Christ" and so he listened to the Word of God and learned how to share it with others. Chris was dilligent in "living" a christian life-style, being [honoring] obedient to his parents, interacting with his brother and sister, staying involved with organizations that kept him busy, and communicating with other youth, young adults and adults who shared their experiences and wisdom. Chris loved people and in return was loved. For sure he is an "angel" in heaven doing good work for God. Chris, you will never be forgotten and I surely miss having you around.

The Love of a Child
There is nothing so precious and joyous as the love of a child. To see them grow, laugh, and play makes everyday worthwhile. Even though his time has come and gone, know that his memory will still live on. With everyone he touched and knew him personally, he will always be remembered truly. So don't worry because he is in a better place, just make sure you are ready to see him again face to face.
His junior Clavers still talk of him and remember the good times they shared, and that lets me know he was always in good care. Because just like you, God too loves his child, that's why he was here for just a short while. So keep holding on because in time the pain will be no more, and know that his love will reign forever more.

To the Pichon Family:
Little Chris' smiles and hugs will be greatly missed.
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, we would walk right up to Heaven and bring Chris back again.
No farewell words were spoken, no time to say "Goodbye". You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.
Our hearts still aches with sadness, and secret tears still flow. What it meant to love you--no one can ever know.
But now we know you want us to mourn for you no more; to remember all the happy times, life still has much in store.
Since you will never be forgotten, we pledge to you everyday - A HOLLOWED place within our hearts is where you will always stay.
May God give the family strength.

Father God, Thank You for always being there for me no matter what I face. I know You will never fail me, even in my most intense trials. I have not always understood why I was going through certain things; however, I do not have to understand, because You are God and You are in control, in spite of my lack of understanding. I know that all You require of me is to trust You, and look to You in faith and You will come and save me, and bring me an answer. You always have, and You always will, because you are faithful. You never fail any of us who look to You. I have failed You, Lord, by my doubt and unbelief at times, but You have never failed me. Lord, please remove all the sorrow and grief I feel. Heal this pain I feel in my heart and help me to trust You more. Fill this empty place in my heart with more of Your Spirit. I ask this in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen

CHRISTMAS IN HEAVEN
I see the countless Christmas trees
Around the world below.
With tiny lights like Heaven’s stars reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular
Please wipe away that tear,
For I am spending Christmas
With Jesus this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs
That people hold so dear,
But the sound of music cannot compare
With the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you
The joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description
To hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me.
I see the pain inside your heart
But I am not so far away
We really aren’t apart.
So be happy for me dear ones.
You know I hold you dear,
And be glad I am spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.
I send you each a special gift
From my heavenly home above,
I send you each a memory
Of my undying love.
After all Love is a gift
More precious than pure gold.
It was always most important
In the stories Jesus told.
Please love each other
As the Father said to do,
For I cannot count the blessings
Or love He has for you.
So have a Merry Christmas
And wipe away that tear,
Remember I am spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.
God bless you!!

The Pichon Family:
How funny how life deals us friends. Our becoming friends was throught HICC Mardi Gras King & Queen Contest and has continued through the years.
My fondest remembance of Chris is during the 2006 Senior National Convention, when I was a candidate for National Lay Board Member and he and I hang out that Monday and Tuesday of the Convention. On that occasion, he said to me was "Mr. Ledet, I hope to be a good president like you were". I told him that all he had to do was to put his trust in the Lord and he would do a good job. Little did we know that within least then eight weeks he would make that transition from this life to the the next life.
You all know that I'm here for you just a phone call away. You know I mean that with all my being. Thanks again for being there with me during the lost of my father a few weeks after Chris. As the song says "That What Friends Are For".

Words can never express the lost of a loved one especially a child but once you lose one of your own you know first hand how a person truely feels empty, lonely, and feeling helpless in assisting the rest of your family dealing with their own grief. You have taught me that am not made of steel, rock and that I have to grief also, you taught me how to tell me son that life my not be easy but you can move forward and still feel your loss not making him less of a man. With you I grief for your loss, because I know my heart is like yours making it day by day and growing love for that spirit that we created and helped bring into this world. Mr. Pichon and family:
Before the public, you made your Father proud, standing firm in your beliefs and in the power of God. You stregthened me personally, and you have helped me deal with a loss recently in my family. I thank you for this. I know that in the secret place of the most high is where you trully lay down your sword and cry for a while. Know that God holds those tears and will return them for joy. Although never having known your son, as a youth leader in Houston, young people walked in to our youth ministry the following Wednesday, talking about what a great young man your son was. When young people are lifting up other young people to God's glory, you know that He has trully left a mark on their lives. What an honor to know such strong & believing parents. May my husband and I grow as parents, following your example.
Our prayers continue to be with you on behalf of our family and your family in Alief ISD.

Thanks to all for reading and signing this guest book for my son - Chris II. His passing continues to be a tragedy as I miss him constantly and want him back desperately. I have been changed forever by this experience. My faith and trust in God persist, but I seek understanding daily and ask why. Chris was so special and was destined to accomplish so much more on this earth, but he was taken so suddenly and so young. I, along with my family, are left with daily sorrow. Holidays and special occasions are not the same anymore because he is not physically here. Although he is with us in spirit, I selfishly want him here on earth. This new lifestyle will remain because Little Chris cannot be replaced, and the only joy I foresee is when we can see each other again.
Chris, I miss you, I love you, and I am very proud of the young man you blossomed in to. You left an awesome legacy that few can match. You were a precious joy, and my life will never be the same without you. Until we meet again!
Love,
Dad

I know a few months have passed since the passing of Chris. I just wanted to send a note to let you know that the Pichon Family is still in our prayers each day. My kids are Jr's of Court 222 and we talk about Chris everyday. My kids respect and admire the great qualities that Chris portrayed in his every day life. We have discussions about what can we do as a family to make sure that we live our lives for Christ the way Chris did. We have made changes to our daily lives as a result of Chris's life. His smile now shines on our hearts. We are more involved in the community and helping the less fortunate. We did community service before but it now doesn't seem like enough. Chris has inspired my children, my co-workers, my family, and my friends to do more. I know you are proud of your son and love him dearly. We share that pride with you but honor and thank you for raising such wonderful children. Keep your strong faith and lean on The Lord.

Chris made a magnificent impact on everyone. He will be greatly missed by not just me but others around the world that we might not even know. I wish his family the best and the lord is keeping you in his prayers and Chris is looking down on each and everyone one of us because he cared very much for us. He did his best to accomplish the goals he set for himself before he left us and did a terrific job on each one. From your fellow junior daughter at Court and Council #138.
May you rest in peace forever and always,
Shanteria White with much love and care.

The elders in my family have often stated,"The apple does not fall far from the tree!" Knowing Christopher Pichon from when he worked at Fairchild Elementary until the present and seeing him and his father interviewed on CBS, I knew what my elders were talking about. You can only be the way you are because of the influence, teaching and raising you recieve as well as what you as an individual practice. I know you all will miss him but please know this, the LIGHT of who he was and what he stood for will forever shine because of all his family! I will keep all of you in my prayers.

My dearest family,
May God continue to shine his light on you. May all your hearts be filled with God's grace and love. God knows the contents of your hearts. He will forever listen to your prayers. May we all continue to stick together and pray for one another, especially you Chris, Sonya, Cammie, and Courtney. Chris is our family's angel. He will continue to watch over us and guide in the path of righteousness. We will get through this, but only together. If it were not for this family's love, I don't know how we all would have gotten this far. Remember, if you need me, call me.
Chris e pooh, I will always remember your presence that graced our lives. It is now that we must practice walking in the ways you have shown this family. You are our light. My prayers for you and your family will be consistently upon my tongue. Thanks for sharing your life with me. Until we meet again, Hugs and Kisses!
