Andrew Burns Obituary

ANDREW MARION "ANDY" BURNS, JR. passed away November 3, 2006. He was a veteran of WWII, member of 376 Bombardment Group, member of S P Waltrip Lodge 1328, A F & A M, and a member of Terrace United Methodist Church. Andy founded Burns Pump Service in 1950 and has been actively involved for 56 years. He was born June 3, 1917 in Weston, Florida to Andrew Burns, Sr., and Grace Burns. Andy is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William and Vernon Burns, and his sister, Edloise Merrill, and his grandson, Hunter Burns. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Burns; son, Ronald Burns and daughter, Marsha Burns; granddaughter, Rachael Miclette and husband, Toby. Visitation will be Monday, November 6, 2006, from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at 2 p.m., both to be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories with Rev. E. B. Beasley officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations to the Houston Hospice at The Texas Medical Center be provided.

Joyce and family: I was so saddened to hear about Andy. I was thinking back when we all bowled together with you all and my parents, Pierce and Dell. I was the fifth wheel. We had so much fun and good memories. I will keep you and your family in my heart.
