Monte Allen Obituary
1947-2015
Monte Larry Allen, age 67, passed away on April 18, 2015 in Midland, Texas. Monte was born on August 29, 1947 in Laredo, Texas but grew up in Sugar Land, Texas. Monte graduated from John Foster Dulles High School and attended Wharton County Junior College. Already a pilot, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, receiving an honorable discharge after a hand injury. He was a businessman in Stafford and the Richmond/Rosenberg area.
He is preceded in death by his parents, W.T. and Ruby (Ellis) Allen and brothers, Robert and Tommy. He is survived by his former wife and life-long friend, Cindy (Rosser) Allen; sons, Mark Eugene and Scott Michael Allen; sister, Penny (Allen) Henson and husband, Mike; along with aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your charity of choice.
